Apparently years ago, a poor kid fell onto a long thin paintbrush at school and it went through his eye into his brain. :wow:

He's alive, although severely disabled. It just made the news again since the father is suing the school.

Thomas Brown fell onto a classmate's paintbrush in the incident at Ladywell Primary in Motherwell in April 2003.

The Court of Session in Edinburgh heard that it penetrated his left eye and brain, leaving him with disabilities.

The schoolboy spent more than a month in hospital after the accident.

So um, I guess people can really survive these kinds of things in real life? :o

yuck. poor fellow.

"it's...it's gone."

I want to know if the other kid could hammer the paintbrush into the table the way Joker did. I mean, how exactly can you do that?

Sounds like the kind of news clipping you might find in Ledger's Joker diary...

Poor kid...that sorta thing should only happen to mobsters...

how exactly would you fall onto a long thin paint brush...i mean they don't exactly stand up nice and straight..

but otherwise, that's terrible luck. terrible.

Suing the school? Seems like a freak accident.

While it is undeniably a very cool scene, it always kind of bugged me too. Jamming a wooden pencil into a wooden table...don't think so.

Not to mention the eraser end goes into his eye.
