Hi, I live in England.

Last night broadcast on channel 5 at 10pm was a program entitled-
'Guys and Dolls'. The subject of this program was grown men who are unable to make/find relationships w/ women and instead resort to purchasing a RealDollTM
(I already knew of RealDoll's existence before watching this show, basically its a life size, functional sex doll w/ 3 holes, cast out of laytex, that has joints and weighs 100lbs or so, oh and costs $6,000).
The documentary focussed on 4 sad cases, three of which lived alone both middle age, the other was a young-ish male that lived at home w/ his rents (Hell knows what they thought!, as they knew of his RealDoll) but all had agreed to talk candidly on the show about their lives w/ the RealDoll/s (the old guys had more than one).

Anyway the way they talked about them, it was as if they had tricked themselves into believing they were real people. The young guy called 'Davecat', I guess his online name, seriously sounded like he was in love w/ it when he said stuff like-

'When she first arrived in 2000 it was like sex sex sex, these days however are relationship is more about us just being there for each other. Sometimes we might be in bed not necessarily engaged in sex but just lying there appreciating each other'.

! ! ! ! ! ! !

After watching the show I located their forum, and one of the older guys from the show, calling himself- 'Everhard',… he has married one of his dolls.?!!

What I find odd is that these people have no shame and even went and involved themselves in a TV show. Obviously these peeps are the saddest excuses for humans that have ever existed, as they have no confidence in themselves and have basically relegated themselves to the acceptance that they will never form a real relationship w/ a human woman. Thing is tho, they are SOOOO far gone that I could not even mock them, in a way I kind of almost feel sorry for them and that’s pretty unique for lil old couldn’t care less me.

I also find the culture/frame of mind of these people incredibly disturbing.
They remind me of serial killers, I can't really get past that.
Some of them if they can’t afford a full one, will buy a torso just to f**k. !
I have seen all the worst stuff the net has got to offer- all types of dodgy porn, death vids, etc etc.
None of that bothered me, but now that I have seen a show about the people that live w/ RealDolls and their perspective on it all this is just plain the most F-up and creepy thing I have ever been witness to.

Okay, okay.... it is weird, it is creepy, it is disturbing.

But they're not hurting anyone. There are worse... far worse creeps out there. At least these men aren't rapists, at least they don't screw corpses, at least they aren't paedophiles.

They are just sad, lonely men who haven't got the confidence to ever engage with a real woman.

Think about it - if they didn't have these Real Dolls to pour their emotion into, and to "relieve" themselves of sexual tension, then what would they become? They might become rapists or stalkers. It's very possible that Real Dolls keep these men stable.
