The SHHFFL VIII Season...

Hey Guys,

I'm setting up Season VIII of the Super Hero Hype Fantasy Football League. (seeing as I set up Season V,VI & VII, that's good enough for me )

I will sent out invitations to last years players, so it should fill up @ about 80%... seeing as there has been good rivalries over the past 7 years. However, in about a week's time, if they haven't signed up, I'll give out the league info to whoever wants to play in an order that will follow this post.

And please, if you're going to sign up, play your players throughout the season. We've had problems in the past with players not being serious enough to play their players. So if you don't think you're committed to playing, please let someone else to join.

I still say that instead of doing a ridiculous 20 team league again, you should run two 12-14 team leagues. 20 teams is too many, you dont have enough starters to go around.

Also, if you guys want some "rivalry games", I'll set the schedule up to reflect the matches that people want to see...

I say we go 16 teams.

The Vulcans Salute (managed by thor) were inactive last season. As were the Strangers led by strange. That's two.

As for the other two... I believe last year we decided the fairest way was seniority and success. Alex hasn't been in the league long, plus he isn't really successful, so show our 15 year old Canadian member the door to a Fantasy Hockey league


Then there El ASESINO. He's not even a Hypster anymore.

Just like that, we're down to 16 teams and have 64 more players available to build a real free agency market.

As for rivalry games, I'd love to have a match with Wieg's team. We built a good rivalry in the '08 season. Kaleb's too. A Baltimore fan vs a Pittsburgh fan, its fitting.

No fair Matt, I had computer issues last year, and in 08 I was .500 I think. Just missed the playoffs. Give me a another chaaaaance

I don't thik I've seen Duendos Verdes or Byrd Man here in a while....

So the logical cuts are El Asenino, Byrd Man, Duende, Thor, and Strangers.

That will give us five openings. 4 to cut the league to 16 and 1 for a newbie.

El Asenino will play... he plays his teams, whether he still hangs out at the Hype or not... I'm getting ahold of Daisy this weekend... I hope she plays, seeing as she's been here since year One... Duende usually plays his teams as well...

I believe Duende went weeks without managing his team. The guy is a legacy, so I think the game would be better with him - he just needs to be more active than last year.
