Mystery/Thriller The Weeknd, Jenna Ortega And Barry Keoghan To Star In "Hurry Up Tomorrow" From Trey Edward Shults

did anyone besides me here go and watch it? because I saw it, and I liked it.

I saw the presentation at CinemaCon, and it left me very confused. I was intrigued because Jenna Ortega was in it, and usually, she picks interesting projects. I wasn't sure what to make of it. Seemed very weird and psychological.

Also, The Weeknd was there live and performed some of his songs, including Blinding Lights. One thing the trailer didn't make clear was that The Weeknd was playing himself in the film. Like I could tell he was playing a type of singer or pop star who starts an affair with Ortega's character, but I didn't realize The Weeknd was playing himself.

Was this meant to be like an homage to Purple Rain?

Based from the numbers (box office and RT), this is another flop acting gig for The Weekend.

Jenna yells the name "Abel!" in the trailer which implied that he plays a fictional version of himself, but I can understand how that could be easily missed.
After this debacle, The Weeknd has been downgraded to Saturdy Afternn.
well Saturday afternoon still takes place during the weekend so 🤷🏽‍♂️
