I really hope Fox and Skully re-join the FBI. X-Files isn't the same when they aren't agents.
Do you remember if the female was young or older?
I really hope Fox and Skully re-join the FBI. X-Files isn't the same when they aren't agents.
I think she was VERY young... like maybe 13... and I THINK her name was Eve...
well, they crossed a lot of people and pissed them off, so I don't think they'll be very forgiving... and besides, the last we saw of them, they're both on the run as fugitives, I believe...
That was the episode I was thinking of. Over the course of 9 season you'd be shocked how many people have made an escape via bus. The name of the episode is "Eve". In the end they are put in an institution with the other "Eve"s. I was thinking of 3 episodes that it could possibly be but that was litterally the first one I thought of which is why I asked how old the female was haha
Actually in the movie, "I Want to Believe", the FBI said that all would be forgiven if Mulder came back to help them solve the case of a missing FBI agent. He did, so they are no longer fugitives
I couldn't remember the name of the Eve episode, but I guess the name of the girl was a tip-off... I didn't think it was as simple as that...
as for that Believe movie, I kind of ignored it in it's entirety... I just thought it was too easy of a resolution... and I find it hard to believe that the FBI and the PTB behind them would reach out to Mulder and Scully so readily and easily like that and also that they both accepted to come back JUST as easily... and that lends to the question that if Mulder WAS forgiven and reinstated, has the X Files department been reopened?... and what happened to Depuity Director Kersh for aiding and abetting in Mulder's escape from federal custody?
They can easily have Fox and Dana re-join. Any explanation will do. The important thing is they are agents.
He never re-joined the Bureau. He just assisted them because of his out there way of thinking. They basically knew that he was the only one with that type of mindset. They didn't care if Scully came back or not, but the only way Mulder would help is if Scully went back with him. So basically since Mulder helped them find their agent they stopped the manhunt for him. He's out of their hair, their out of his hair. And I would hope to see a resolution with Kersh in the new episodes.
I still kinda don't buy it... Mulder and Scully caused so much s**t and brought down so much heat for the FBI and the aliens and their human collaborators... a truce between all parties concerned seems unlikely... that's why I never accepted that second movie... that movie was done on the fly and by the seat of the pants... I don't think any real X File fan bought it... and for them to come back for a stand-alone story with NO involvement of the alien/human conspiracy seemed like bulls**t to me...
Well, you gotta remember that the movie took place before 2012 so they wanted to do a simple MOW type story and then in 2012 do a movie that focused on the invasion and eventual colonization of Earth.
maybe, but I would think that IF Mulder and Scully were offered amnesty from the FBI, it's because the time was getting closer to the colonization due date and the aliens would want to lure them out into the open to either apprehend or terminate them and to possibly prevent them from somehow interfering with the aliens' plan of invasion... THAT'S how that movie SHOULD have been approached and handled...
I'm not saying that IWTB was a perfect movie. It had flaws but I think it served its purpose...a monster of the week episode. I'm anxious to see where the revival takes things. I'm sure they will touch on the colonization.
I just felt that there was so much time between the series finale and the IWTB movie, that it should have been approached differently and should have dealt with the invasion plans in SOME way... after such a long gap of time, I think fans expected more and were let down and disappointed that it DIDN'T deal with the storyline that the series ended on... I don't think anyone wanted a monster of the week stand-alone movie.... and I think THAT'S one of the reasons why that movie flopped... expectations were high and the results ended up low... and that's also the reason it's taken so long for a six episode event to happen, because the studio didn't want to take a chance on a new X Files movie after it's last effort with IWTB... I would think that Chris Carter would have much rather have a movie done, but this event is the next best thing for him and the fans... let's just hope THIS is done properly...
I can get down with Skinner and CSM

These were the most important two outside of Scully and Mulder.
Absolutely. They're the only ones left that matter outside of Mulder and Scully.
Which reminds me... I'm sad that there's no chance for The Lone Gunmen to come back. And Krycek! I love that guy.
