Sci-Fi The X-Files - 6 Part Event Series

Did you guys watch the series recently? How do you remember everything? Was so long ago that I've forgotten probably 80% of the episodes.

I remember the bigger plot/mythology and then bits and pieces of the MOTW ones. There are also certain scenes/dialogues that stuck with me even though I can't remember much of the entire plot of the episode. :funny: For example, there's this MOTW episode that I think dealt with cannibalism but the part that just stuck with me is that the villain was fed to the chickens and the end is Scully eating a fried chicken from a fast food chain where those chickens were sold. The only part that I remember from the Peacock family (Home) episode was them cruising along their Cadillac while "Wonderful Wonderful" is playing.

now that you mention it, I DO remember that one... when that ending was shown with Scully eating chicken, I said to myself "now that is some sick and demented s**t"... :funny:

In other aspects the show really was ahead of its time. I mean it really set a template for how prime time drama could push it to the limits.

I like that they are upgrading the technology for the show. Mulder and Scully will totally be using smartphones...

Read the latest comments by Chris Carter,

he's not sure how he's gonna address the 2012 alien invasion that never happened LOL.
It'll be interesting.

Oh awesome. Once again Chris Carter is just making stuff up as he goes along. X-Files will always be one of my favorite shows but I am not sold Carter can finish this with a satisfying conclusion.

Well the hope is that the series can continue in limited run

The vast majority of tv writers make it up as they go along. There's very few shows where they know exactly where it is supposed to happen from season 1-8. And as for Chris Carter, we're talking about a tv show that has been done with for many years, that nobody thought would come back.

I believed that it would come back....I wanted to believe

Yeah but you would think he would have thought out the
2012 invasion storyline.
He's only had 15 years to think that one out. And its not like he hasn't been fighting for a movie franchise during those 15 years. It's one thing to not have plans for two seasons in the future but we are talking about a six episode miniseries. I'd feel much more comfortably knowing he with into this at least having that planned out. Not saying it's going to suck but Chris Carter is notorious for setting up a really good idea and then not delivering.

Walter Skinner is an important binding factor in the X-Files universe, just as Alfred Pennyworth is to the Batman franchise. Great to have him back!

So in case you guy haven't heard yet, the first 13 episodes of The X-Files are now streaming in GLORIOUS HD on Netflix!!!

They really need to release the series on Blu-ray. With a new season coming up, I can't think of a more perfect time to do it.

I think that is what they are building up to. I hope so anyway

All you need to remember is Bruce Campbell was a demon that kept fathering demon babies. And I loved every second of that episode.

I am such a huge fan there isn't much about this show that I don't remember. I'm rewatching it right now. Twice actually. I'm on season 1 episode 6 in HD on Netflix and halfway through season 6 on Amazon Prime. I started season 1 again due to Netflix starting to stream in HD. It looks AMAZING!!!

I'll have to rewatch it on Netflix. My memory of it is really bad apart from the biggest events and main characters. :csad:

Enjoy it. Pay close attention to small details...it's a great show. I can tell you off the top of my head that the car rental company the majority of their cars come from is Lariat

Haha, some of the things you guys remember. I'm jealous.

X-Files Vets Glen Morgan, James Wong Returning for Fox's 6-Episode Revival

As far as returning X-Files alums go, these two are almost as big as David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. (Or at the very least, The Smoking Man and Skinner.)
TVLine has learned exclusively that celebrated X-Files writer-producers Glen Morgan and James Wong have inked deals to return for Fox’s upcoming six-episode revival.
According to sources, the longtime collaborators — who were responsible for such seminal episodes as Season 1’s Beyond the Sea and Season 4’s Home and Musings of the Cigarette Smoking Man — will write and direct one episode apiece. Morgan will also serve as an exec producer alongside series creator Chris Carter.

Snagging the duo is quite a coup for Fox, and should serve as confirmation that the network is pulling out all the stops to ensure this continuation lives up to fans’ high expectations.
Sadly, another X-Files behind-the-scenes MVP, Vince “Breaking Bad” Gilligan, is not expected to be involved in the revival, which is slated to start shooting this summer.

Too bad Spotnitz and him arent available but Im pretty happy with the returning crew so far.

The HD versions in netflix are AMAZING. Im hoping the blu rays are coming.

Would have been nice to get Gilligan, but still I'm happy that Darin Morgan is coming back. The episodes he wrote are some of my favorites.

how is that ****ing possible when they clearly died inside that plague-filled vault?... what are they coming back as?... clones?...

Well clones weren't exactly out of the X-Files equation, but I don't think I'd care for it.
