Sci-Fi The X-Files - 6 Part Event Series

Yep Hunter, that's my understanding as well.

can't wait for next week's episode, "Home Again"... wonder if it's the sequel to "Home" and the return of some of the disturbing and bizarro Peacock family members?... wonder if Sheriff Andy Taylor is still around?...
Oh man, I hadn't considered this possibility. Now I'll be slightly disappointed if the episode doesn't turn out to be a pseudo-sequel to "Home" in some way, lol.

Sheriff Andy Taylor and his wife were both killed, as well as the deputy. Only one son and his mother got away . . . Wonderful, wonderful !!!!

. . . it would be nice to at some time be reunited with The Great Mutato also!

thanks for the refresher course on Sheriff Andy, Gort... I remembered that Mrs. Peacock and one son escaped, but I forgot about Sheriff Taylor being killed... it's been about, what, almost 20 years since "Home" was on... my memory cells are high on the endangered species list, you understand, LOL... :oldrazz:

Been totally loving this return. And yes, Hunter. Awesome Avatar!

The first two episodes were great but the third one was totally fantastic! Loved it!

Looking forward to episode #3 here in Australia on Sunday night!

Thunderstrike, has it really been nearly twenty years? I wonder how many new baby Peacocks have been born since then . . .

just imagine if old Mrs. Peacock is STILL alive 20 years later and she's still giving it up to her boy and grandsons since then, LOL...

finally was able to catch up man how I missed the x files last episode was great shame that this is only a 6 episode return though.

I love it when they do these goofy, comedy type episodes. They never seem to fail. I gonna rewatch the COPS parody episode.

great shout!!!!

I rewatched the whole series a while back and i had honestly forgotten about these quirky episodes. cute

The original series takes up quite a bit of space on my hard drive. Totally worth it though.

Yeah, my bluray rips are in total like 92GB with the two films.

Watched this episode earlier tonight and it alone was worth the revival. This has to be one of the funniest and best episodes of the X-Files ever. Everything about it was just so funny and twisted around. Nothing you expected was quite what was happening.

Ditto. This one grabbed me. Mulder believes again, and it's great.

I guess the reptoid guy was an evolutionary creature that survived the meteor and hibernates for 10,000 years at time due to his unaltered evolution for millions of years. Nice imagination tickler. Also,
the were-human aspect was so weird and fun
.

I have to say, it really surprises me to see so many fans saying they forgot the show did episodes like this. As a new fan who watched the whole series all in one chunk, it was those episodes that stood out most to me, and took my "like" for the series to "full on, unabashed love." I can't imagine the show without them, tbh.

Comedic episodes were always a good part of the show. It was a nice mashup of styles. The hardcore alien conspiracy is still the core and my favourite, but the show can also offer all sorts of directions artistically.

Now this last episode was just histerically funny. Probably one of my most loved episodes in the entire series. The idea of a were-lizard and his quick understanding of what its like to be a human was so good.

"Foxman, you have to put me out of my misery. I dont want to wake up tomorrow and have to go to work!"

I can't wait to see what footage is shown during halftime of the Super Bowl. Hope it's good. I'll be watching regardless...my Panthers are gonna win it all!!!

RIP [blackout]Mrs. Scully[/blackout]

RIP [blackout]Mrs. Scully[/blackout]
:(

I'm guessing this was originally supposed to be the 2nd episode and that's the "episode shuffle" we heard about? Scully was back in her bad wig and the William stuff seemed like it was supposed to flow directly into the ep they presented as the 2nd.

Regardless, it was another good ep. Not an instant classic like last week, imo, but very good.

I was curious about the change in hair color myself. I wasn't sure if she had dyed it or if it was a wig or just my imagination playing tricks on me.
