There might be only 3 networks soon, and other bad news

If they do in fact get rid of Leno, that would definitely free up enough space to warrant keeping 30 Rock. Put both L&O shows on the same night, pad any spaces left on the schedule with reality shows that are probably already being kicked around the bullpen anyway, thus buying time to focus on hardcore development of new scripted shows a year down the road.

30 Rock will have a hard time staying really. The show has low rating and costs alot because of the actors pay, only reason it stays is because the guy in charge really likes it. And when big events like this happen 30 might not have much of a future. Theres really 3 possible futures for the show.

1. Canceled
2. Another network buys it, to put emmys on there shelf
3. It gets moved to USA. Of course with some cast members being left behind.

Actually, those aren't 3 scenarios as 2 and 3 are practically impossible (being as NBC's purchase is going to seperate them from USA, and number 2 is unlikely being as NBC itself is a backdrop for the show).

There are really two possible futures for 30 Rock

1) Leno cancelled, 30 Rock gets another season
2) 30 Rock is cancelled.

Most likely. More of a reason for NBC to keep it around.

They can **** on Ben Silverman all they want. But the fact is NBC was already in last place by the time he came along. So it's not like he single-handily burned down the castle. His lack of taste just made matters worse.

As for 30 Rock, it hit its peak with the mainstream last year due to Fey headlining a successful movie in Baby Mama and (most importantly) her Sarah Palin bits on SNL. And even those numbers weren't good. Rock is never going to reach that level again.
