I wasn't interested in the film, until I saw the trailer. Damn, the trailer was so good, and for a reason that I can't describe. You can't beat Burton/Depp.

This has just made my list of best movie posters of all time *saves*:o

And here comes another crop of emo kids clamoring to get Sweeney Todd stuff at Hot Topic. Though I pray they don't go so far as to actually mass market the images of a classic musical.

They just have to take over everything.:csad:

Personally, they are my favorite actor/director team.

Right now, this is the only movie I'm longing to see for the rest of the year.

This and I Am Legend got me this December.

Great movies. Highly recommended. Persepolis is imo the best comic book movie of the year. (300 is a 2006 movie.)

Good news about "Sweeney". I'm just sad "Walk Hard" isn't higher up on that poll. :csad:

I can't wait to see this

Hey, a little off-subject, but remember the story of Kevin Smith's "rivalry" with Tim Burton on the Evening with Kevin Smith dvd? About how, when Burton's PotA remake came arround, he joked around about Tim stealling the idea for the "Ape-headed Lincoln memorial" bit from his Chasing Dogma comic?

You think someone durring one of his college campus forums will ask how it feels to inspire Burton to Sweeney Todd?

(For those out of the loop here, in Jersey Girls, Affleck's daughter decides to do the "MEATPIES" number from Sweeney Todd for the father-daughter school performance)

Did that actually inspire Burton to do Sweeney? If so, that would be SO ironic. :woot:

Look at Tim's eyes. They're peaking over at the comic books. That closet comic fan. :oldrazz:

Oh and great vid, Hunter. I'm very excited for this! I agree the chair going backwards landing the victims headfirst is an improvement too.
