I wasn't interested in the film, until I saw the trailer. Damn, the trailer was so good, and for a reason that I can't describe. You can't beat Burton/Depp.

Right now, this is the only movie I'm longing to see for the rest of the year.

Great movies. Highly recommended. Persepolis is imo the best comic book movie of the year. (300 is a 2006 movie.)

Hey, a little off-subject, but remember the story of Kevin Smith's "rivalry" with Tim Burton on the Evening with Kevin Smith dvd? About how, when Burton's PotA remake came arround, he joked around about Tim stealling the idea for the "Ape-headed Lincoln memorial" bit from his Chasing Dogma comic?


You think someone durring one of his college campus forums will ask how it feels to inspire Burton to Sweeney Todd?

(For those out of the loop here, in Jersey Girls, Affleck's daughter decides to do the "MEATPIES" number from Sweeney Todd for the father-daughter school performance)

Did that actually inspire Burton to do Sweeney? If so, that would be SO ironic. :woot:

The comics are down stairs :oldrazz: I go to that store in london loads and the one week I was going to go then change my mind JD and TB go there :csad:

You know what, I never made that connection before, but man, that is weird :wow:
 
so how long is this movie going to be, wiki says 105 mins? but last month wiki said 135 minutes.
