Its time for Dolph Lundgren to direct a Punisher movie.

He is already directing many movies, and is apparently coming back for a big screen return with Stallone in the expendables.

Dolph is a decent director. And if the next Punisher is going to go DTV,
we might as well get Dolph to direct it.

he has a decent resume.

Director:

  1. Icarus (2009) (announced)
  2. Command Performance (2009) (post-production)
  3. Missionary Man (2007)
  4. Diamond Dogs (2007) (uncredited)
... aka Quan zhang (China: Mandarin title)
  5. The Mechanik (2005)
... aka The Russian Specialist (Canada: English title: DVD title) (USA: DVD title)
  6. The Defender (2004

Maybe, it's not like he was a part of a good Punisher movie. Lexi directed Green Street Hooligans, which I thought was really good. She didn't do as good with Punisher... same thing could happen to Dolph.

If they do a sequel to Punisher: War Zone in the same vein as the first one (over the top, violent action with low emphasis on story or script) maybe.

But if they reboot the Punisher AGAIN, then you'd want them to get a better director, better script and better cast, because if Punisher goes 0 and 4, I don't think we'll ever see him starring in his own film again.

yeah They need to have just gave kurt sutter total contol of warzone it would have been better he much more gritty.
even though I loved the movie.

but at least the kept the part where franks turns him into jigsaw in the PWZ.

i would have no problem with Dolph directing a punisher movie , he is a solid B movie director with both Missionary Man and the really really good Russian specialist (also known as Mechanik) being stand out great little movies......
