Recently I got a notice from the Nielsen Group that my apartment has been selected for an offer to collect TV ratings data. A few days later, they sent me a brochure about the program, as well as a questionnaire to send in to tell them a bit about myself and to confirm that I would like to participate. So, if it all goes through, I me and my room mates will be helping to generate the Nielsen ratings by which all TV shows live and die. So every time I watch TV, I'll technically be watching for several thousand people. Awesomeness!

Oh darn, you had to bring it up. :(

Why couldn't the Nielsens have contacted me a year ago, before all my favorite shows were already canceled!? :cmad:

The Nielsens are so bad and outdated. Even ******ed people know it's ******ed. A blind man could see how bad the system is there. Point is...it needs to be fixed.

It's a good thing that nothing I watch is in danger of going off the air.

The Nielsens are an outdated system, but they are still what almost all networks live and die by. Regardless of whether or not the Nielsens are an accurate system, they are what determines whether or not a show will remain on the air.

Please watch Supernatural, Chuck, and 30 Rock. Maybe if you're drunk, watch Smallville.

Watch Jimmy Fallon and NOT Jay Leno....and NOT SNL.

Watch Better Off Ted and Fringe or we are done professionally Tim.

I think Better Off Ted is done professionally already. :csad:

Whatever you do, do NOT watch CBS. They need to be taken down a few pegs.

Don't watch anything on NBC except The Office.

Make sure to watch Conan's new show whenever it comes on.

I did this years ago, I think they actually sent a brand new dollar bill in with the brochure. Wow......

Go for Supernatural buddy.

I've only been contacted by Arbitron before. I personally increased the ratings for my favorite radio morning show months before the hosts got fired for misconduct.

Watch "Burn Notice". Or claim that you are always watching "Burn Notice". Demand more Bruce Campbell.
