He was absolutely intense in that film. Great performance, but as you say draining, so less rewatchable than a Lethal Weapon.

The scene where he pulls the swerve and offers the ransom as reward money was incredibly well done.

Upon further thought, I think that I'd swap out The Patriot for We Were Soldiers as the latter is a better film imo.

We Were Soldiers is a good film, dragged on far too long and should have been at or under 2 hours long but he was also good in it.

I disagree. It was very well-paced imo.
