If it didn't have quotes I wouldn't of believed it, even now I'm very skeptical.

According to Hollywood.com, Mel Gibson and James Garner are keen to get together for a sequel to their 1994 western comedy "Maverick."

Gibson tells WENN that"There's talk of doing another Maverick. Garner and I have been looking at that for a while. It'd be fun to play that character again.

"I think audiences would probably like to see him again too. We really cooked the first time. We've got some great ideas--I think audiences will enjoy what we've got in mind. It won't be happening immediately, but I dare say, it'll happen" he adds.

Gibson went on to add that he won't be re-visiting his two biggest franchises - "We've put Mad Max and Lethal Weapon behind us now. There's nowhere to move with those characters. We were pushing it with the last ones."

It's a little late for a Maverick sequel. I enjoyed the first one, but it doesn't seem like a lot of folk would care if they did a sequel or not at this date.

yeah, it was good an all but nothing great, he should have done Mad Max 4, god, i magine a really old and f**ked up Max :(

No Mad Max 4 but Maverick 2. Wtf. Though Miller is the one who said he don't wan't Mel. Mel hasn't said anything that he wouldn't return for MM4, or has he? An yea, I liked Maverick.

Watching someone else play Mad Max is like finding out through a DNA test on some lame daytime show that the kid you've raised for a 9 1/2 years isn't really yours.

It's just not something you get over....

It seems Gibson left Mad Max and Lethal Weapon behind him now. Maverick 2 could be cool. Let's wait and see ;)

Yep, I'd like to see a 'Maverick 2.' At least it's a, you know, 'new' sequel.
