Have to say it was a fun movie. Solid horror comedy with a good cast.

This was a lot of fun. The writing for Shipka was a little rough early on with the GenZ cliches (big dialogue via tweet energy) and the effects in the climax were rough, but once it got going it was a blast! Ella Choi was the breakout star for me. I'd watch a sequel of her and Randall Park hunting down 80's slashers.

Yeah... 'bully pushes her' "UNWANTED TOUCHING!"

Like huh?

Enjoyable, but this is the definition of a "streaming movie". As someone else said, major Disney channel vibes.

True, some of her lines were a bit much. But I liked the running gag of her overthinking lies to fool the security in the 80's only to be dismissed by the indifference of the era.

Also, I laughed way too hard at the scene of dodgeball looking like the beginning of Saving Private Ryan.

Yeah, I agree. I had fun. It borrows way too much from BTTF but the performances and the whole tone of it worked for me.

I thought this was pretty fun. Not something I'll add to my yearly horror rotation but it was a fun watch. I thought the killer reveals were kinda weak. In terms of streaming horror comedies I still rank The Babysitter movies over this

I had the problem with the bolded too. I had the same complaint about the Goosebumps show. The dialogue was so clunky and almost felt like maybe the writers were trying to parody Gen Z people which is possible, but it didn't really work.

"Definition of a 'streaming movie'" is a great rating for this movie.
