When Joel Schumacher announced he was ready to return to the vampire genre with the previously announced horror Town Creek, all he needed was a cast.

Well, he’s got one – Prison Break’s Dominic Purcell and Jesse Metcalfe (best known for Desperate Housewives but last seen in John Tucker Must Die) have signed on to play brothers out for revenge who are lured into a harrowing experiment born during the Nazi era.

Now that he has his leads, Schumacher can start thinking about getting the Creek flowing – he plans to start shooting in March.

I like Joel when not directing Batman movies and i like Vampire movies so i am looking forward to this:woot:

interesting. Lets just pary we dont get vamps with rubber nipples (sorr couldn't resist).

I probably see it just for Dominic

I watched this yesterday. Started off good; the prologue was fantastic, and imo the whole movie should have been about that. And I am a little upset to learn now, that the original script, that was hailed, took place entirerly in the 30s and 40s, like the prologue. Apparently this didn't please Schumacher so he rewrote the script...

The film is still pretty average, it's not utter garbage, but not that good either, apart from the prologue. Reminded me a little bit of Jeepers Creepers. I think I'll end up watching this couple of times more over the years, because it was fairly entertaining and I really liked the idea. They set-up sequel(s) in the end, but I doubt they will happen as Lionsgate treated this the same way they threated The Midnight Meat Train. And besides, I'd rather see a "remake" based purely on the original script.

Also, if anyone has the script, please pm me. :)

I saw the trailer for this a while back and it looked horrible... but it's on my Netflix queue because I was interested to see how Henry Cavill did in a lead role. Was he good in it?

Yeah, he was. The whole time I kept thinking why does he look so familiar, and when the credits rolled I remembered The Tudors.

Cool. Yeah, I really like him as an actor but he's seemed to have some really bad luck in Hollywood trying to land a big role. Finally, Dawn of War (formerly War of the Gods) seems to be picking up steam, so hopefully that will get him some notice. I'm still pulling for him to play Superman.

And you know, with Nolan "mentoring" the new Superman project, that might happen. I think that he was one of Nolan's finalists when casting Batman.

Btw, there are no vampires in the movie. Not sure did the original script have 'em, but not this film. Wirth needs to eat/drink blood, but he is no vampire.
