As always, Gill, if you really don't want me re-posting your stuff, I'll happily remove it. But this might settle some arguments around here:

The tentative schedule is that the first teaser is scheduled to hit this summer with one of the larger tentpoles (they haven't decided/contracted which one yet), with additional footage to be shown at Comic Con 07.

Plans could change at any time, but thats what theyre shooting for.

Hell YES!

That is all.

^ Lets hope there aren't any changes to this schedule.....

I think I may have a stalker... :wow:

It's all tentative right now, but that's what the studio is planning.

No, I haven't been following you around or taking photographs or anything!

;)

Seriously, dude, thanks for the info. I read the BOF boards from time to time, they have some good discussions.

Great news, I think it will be with "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix"
since it's WB movie.

Thinks for the link, some of the ideas there are awesome.

See, further truth the wrong prople are in charge of comic movies.

The best teaser trailer would be falling Joker cards and out of the dark you hear laughter and then a wide red-lipped smile and than that is all.

I´d love to see a very quick glimpse of Joker and the sound of his maniacal laughter in the very end of the teaser.

What do you mean by that?...

Fans could write better movies than the people who are doing it. They know the characters inside and out, know how they would react, know what they would say. Any true fan knows Batman would never say, Hi Freeze, I'm Batman.

This is why I came out of hiding. Thanks and more Bat news the better.

But Nolan and Goyer are Batman fans...

Great news about the trailer! Thanks!

Now...onto this...:)

OK I'm intrigued
...that's a pretty bold statement, isn't it? Yes, 'Hi Freeze, I'm Batman' is stupid but removing that from the film wouldn’t have saved it anyhow. Fans, and I'm one of them :)...have their own wants and desires from these films. Not all fans read the same comics or want the same look to Batman, much less story line. Someone took charge of Batman all over again...meaning Nolan, and love him or hate him...He's taken a direction and following through on it faithfully....faithful to THAT direction. Is it everyone's desired direction? Probably not..but at least we dont have 'Hi Raz, it's Batman'...and we did get a kick ass movie with more than likely an even better sequel...and yes, I'm speculating...but if the first is any indication of what they can do after the fact then it's a fair assumption to make I think.

Fans that think they can write 'better movies' should...are you one of them? If so then do it. I believe talk is cheap...and that the proof is in the pudding.

Putting the suggestion out there that someone can do better means nothing if we dont see anything to back that up.

As for the wrong people being in charge of comic movies...how do you know this? Or better yet, what prompted this statement? Were you not happy with Begins?

I hope none of that sounded harsh, that's not at all what I'm going for...:) Like I said I just found your comments interesting and would love some more depth to why you think this way.

We're all entitled to our own opinions...just curious as to why you feel the way you do. Much respect even if we disagree somewhere.

It depends. Being a fan helps, but having filmmaking craft is a big part of it too. You see some Batman fan films, in theory they get everything right, but the execution comes off terrible and in fact shows how some comic book things don´t work on the screen. Tim Story is an FF fan and look how it turned out...

No, I loved Begins, and the Spidermans, Spidermen, so far. I'm talking stuff like, Batman & Robin, The Hulk, Captain America (90), parts of Superman Returns.
Hollywood want's a viewer friendly movie, they don't want it to be too complicated with drawn out character development. And they all follow a formula it seems, Good guy becomes a superhero, bad guy becomes a super villain, brief fight, good guy regroups, final showdown, and in alot of cases, bad guy dies.
Maybe not fans writing, but comic writers. People with some passion for the characters. Hollywood has run dry on ideas, for the most part, look at T.V., why is there another season of American Idol, and there is talk of a second Dukes of Hazzard.

And I said fans, I didn't say this fan.

I just hope the movie it's attached to is good so I can actually see it on the big screen.
