Terry Payton, also known as kingempoleon on smogon charged for murdering his mother. Maybe he was mad because she passed a bad IV or ability onto him.

Smogon like to ban pokemon they can't figure out a way to overcome in battle..therefore it seems that IRL He couldn't come up with a way to counter something he dislikes, so he outright got rid of it.

I suspect it was self defense, given that Payton's Sucker Punch was successful. That means she was going to attack him.
