Trouble posting Reply with Quote

In the Awesome Pics thread in Community, I wanted to a comment with a reply to a question asked by Spiderfan24. I was able to post the message only after removing Spiderfan24's user name from the original comment I was quoting.

This is the message I got:

Fatal error:
spiderfan24 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove spiderfan24 from the recipient list and send the message again.

I believe SpiderFan24 has "notification of replies to posts" turned on but does not allow private messages... which is how those notifications are sent. This is a conflict in the User Profile setup that should be allowed for.
