This is an idea I've had for a while now. Here's the premise:
Legend tells that every so often, one is born who possesses the ability to give unconditional love, the greatest of all power in this world. Unfortunately, this love can only be given to one person.
If the love is not returned, the unrequited dies within himself, and becomes that which has since become known as a "Twilighter": one foot in the darkness of death, and the other in the brightness of life, and yet part of neither. Because of this, the Twilighter is not bound by the laws of the physical world, and is able to manipulate them, but only between dusk and dawn can this be done.
There have been six Twilighters in history, and five have succumbed to their eternal pain and become evil. One, however, has not. And soon, the Seventh Twilighter will rise.
That's the premise of the movie I want to make. The plot revolves around a boy named Adrian Crowe (a nod to one of my influences...I'll leave you to guess which one
) who is the Seventh Twilighter the film's title refers to. He's kind of an outcast..not a geek per se, but more of a brooding type of kid. He has eyes for only one girl: Melanie Ross, who he's known since middle school (he's about 19 when the film takes place).
The "one who has not fallen" is a man called Tobias. Chronologically, he is the fifth Twilighter. He finds, and trains Adrian, and warns him of
Malachi, the sixth Twilighter in chronological order. He was aided by Tobias as well, but succumed to his pain and fallen. Malachi is the antagonist of this film, and seeks Adrian out to defy the prophecy.
I used some influences from The Crow, Star Wars, and I guess The Matrix can factor in as well, however the overall theme and story of the movie is entirely my own.
Comments are welcome.
