One of the most fascinating and groundbreaking Super Robot series from the seventies is finally coming out on BD. Thanks to Eiken, the original production company.

Daiapolon is the very first Super Robot resulting from the combination of three individual robots - Header, Trangur and Legger - and the first (and only one) where the "pilot" (Takeshi, an alien from the Planet Apolon) is able to change his mass and size in order to become a "giant" and thus "wear" the Super Robot as a sort of Iron Man armour.

Finally, Daiapolon was totally inspired by American football - when the sport was barely amateur in Japan - and its incredible design shows that.

There will be 4 Blu-Ray sets. The first two feature the original 26 episodes series. The last two feature the "rearranged" version of the series (with additional scenes made in 1976) - comprising 21 episodes.

Daiapolon was a success in Italy. In America, the series is known as "Shadow World" and "Ufo Warrior Diapolon".

They are also relasing two action figures/models. Both spectacular. One of them is proper Diecast:
