A British teenager who sent an email to the White House calling President Obama an obscenity was banned from America for life, The Sun reported Monday.

The FBI asked local cops to tell college student Luke Angel, 17, his drunken insult was "unacceptable."

Angel said he fired off a single email criticizing the U.S. government after seeing a TV program about the 9/11 attacks.

He said, "I don't remember exactly what I wrote as I was drunk. But I think I called Barack Obama a p***k. It was silly -- the sort of thing you do when you're a teenager and have had a few."

Angel, of Bedford, in central England, said it was "a bit extreme" for the FBI to act. "The police came and took my picture and told me I was banned from America forever. I don't really care but my parents aren't very happy."

A Bedford Police spokesman confirmed they had spoken to Angel about the email. Officers will take no criminal action.

Joanne Ferreira, of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, said there are about 60 reasons a person can be barred from visiting America.

She said, "We are prohibited from discussing specific cases."

Sucks to be you, bro.

Teenagers...can't live with them, can't keep them chained in the basement until they're 40. Might as well send them to England.

Haha this story is awesome. I want this kid to run for office in America.

I thought it would be something cooler, like he partied so hard that America was like "No son, you can't be coming back here with those wild ass antics anymore."

Just for calling him a p****? Banned for life?

This is the biggest load of big load-y things I've ever heard. So he sent a *****y e-mail. Boo hoo. If the president and the white house staff are so sensitive about being called mean names, then they A) Shouldn't have run or applied for public office, and B) Have their ****ING E-MAIL AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC!!!!!

Like, seriously. This is a big load of ********. It's not like it's even illegal to send someone an e-mail calling them a mean name. I hope he fights this in court.

They should have just quietly snuffed him out with a black ops agent.

Maybe I'm just dumb tonight, but I'm still scratching my....OH! That's what he called Obama.

Yeah, ban him for life. :cmad:

Would you like some British drunk teen calling you a p****?:cmad:

I see your point.... to be honest, it wouldn't be the p**** part that would upset me. I'm fine with being called a p****, just not by a damn british teen. :argh:

The republicans are going to have a field day with this. They already claim Obama is too "sensitive."

It's not like America is the centre of the universe or anything. Is it that big of a deal?

Banning him from the country is our little version of giving him an ASBO.

They banned a kid from England for that? Seriously? I mean there are murderers in this country that get better treatment than that kid.

Lets point out "kid". He's 17 and he was drunk. Aren't there bigger fish to fry in this country than worrying about what a British kid sent you in the e-mail?

Well...they originally wanted to just ban him for being a British teen who was drunk....but they decided the name calling was a bonus and went with it.

It's for the greater good.
