DC Films Under Gunn...which other heroes should get their own franchises?

I didn’t think that movie was that good and the concept doesn’t really interest me tbh.
Then…

It definitely would be a niche film. But as someone who grew up on Bruce Lee and 70’s and 80’s ninja films, I would love to see that part of the DC Universe explored. I really enjoyed Denny O’Neil’s original Richard Dragon run, even if I didn’t love the white savior aspects.

An HBO limited series, pls…

That’s one of the best comics DC has ever put together. More people should read that one.

Question could be really cool
I think Denny O’Neil’s best work was his Question run. It was so good. I’d definitely be down for a Question film so long as it is Vic Sage. I’m open to a Renee Montoya one, but I’m still waiting for a Renee Montoya Question comic that I actually like.

But given my love for Richard Dragon, it probably isn’t a shocker that I also love Huntress: Cry for Blood. I’d love to see an adaptation of that in live action. It could introduce Helena, Vic Sage/Question and an older Richard Dragon in the Myagi role. It also had Batman in a very small, but interesting role where he is a semi-antagonist, investigating a crime and chasing the hero because he doesn’t have all the information yet.

They should definitely adapt the Vic Sage Question first.

And I'd actually like to see Renee Montoya as a Gotham cop as part of the DCU Batman supporting cast. Have her, Bullock, Crispus Allen - the whole ten yards.

Speaking of which, a Gotham Central series would be great down the line.

A good way to reintroduce Flash would be in a Rogues film based partially on the DC Black Label “Rogues” storyline. This story didn’t feature Flash as a supporting character, but you could take the bare bones of this story, throw Flash in there, and make a good movie out of it.

GREAT IDEA!
It was rumored that the guys who had directed Game Night, who were attached to The Flash for awhile wanted to make it an action comedy. I think that would have been a better approach than The Grand Cosmic Saga and the multiple Flashes & The 89 Batman. Muschietti threw everything at the wall to see what stuck.
NOTHING DID!

Flashpoint is far too convoluted a story to use as an entry point for the character’s first solo film.

Also curious what Vertigo things might be in development, considering Gunn has said that stuff is in play too.

Hulu really beefed it with Y the Last Man, so I wouldn’t hate seeing a new crack at that, but if feel like you’d need to put some more room between the two.

I think Metal Men will be happening for sure. Seems absolutely up his alley specially after Magnus showed up in CC.

Animated film, IMO:

Kirby’s most underrated work! A personal favorite of mine.

“The Mighty One” is perhaps one of the best Superman stories that Superman isn’t even in.
Kamandi encounters a society of gorillas that worships Superman’s costume

HBO series. Headlined by Michael B. Jordan as Crispus Allen. Sasha Calle as Montoya.

Make it happen.
