Is there anything worthwhile on the extended cut dvd? I heard that they only added about 2 minutes to each story or something like that.

There aren't really any big scenes that were cut out from the theatrical release that were added in the DVD release. But it's worth buying for the special features :marv::yellow:

Is there any word if this DVD will ever make it to Region 2?!......

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that all the stories had a whole bunch of added scenes.

The Hard Goodbye added a scene with Marv and his mom in his childhood home, and a conversation with Weevil in Kadie's Bar.

The Big Fat Kill includes a last bit with Miho taking out Manute and his main flunkies with a wierd ax-like thing.

That Yellow Bastard inculdes a series of people in Hartigan's hospital room, including his wife, his court-apointed lawyer, an angry nurse, and a group of honest cops trying to coax the truth out of him. They also add Lucille, who goes to Hartigan in prison when he decides to give up.

The Hard Gooodbye scenes didn't add anything to the story. The Big Fat Kill scenes don't add anything plot-wise, but are really cool to watch. That Yellow Bastard scenes add a bit to the storyline and to Hartigan's character.

It's got some cool special features, but I haven't watched them all. The movie in high-speed green screen mode is cool, and the Sin-Chroni-City thing is kind of neat. It's interesting to hear Frank Miller talk about the characters and locations in this segment.

Plus it comes with The Hard Goodbye book, but I read that before i saw the movie.

I would not have bought it if I hadn't had an FYE gift card at the time, but it's worth it if you watcha lot of DVD special features or you haven't read the book.

I bought it just for the great special features. I loved the green screen version, the Cooking School, and the 15 minute flick school. The Long Take is kinda boring though.

The best deleted scenes are from the Yellow Bastard, with Lucille and Hartigan, and the extended scene when Hartigan is in the hospital bed and his family and friends (And the mean nurse) are passing through. So in the end the Yellow Bastard deleted scenes are the best.
