Vampires Go Evil In "Elevator Men"

Summit Entertainment is picking up Marc Haimes' dark thriller script "Elevator Men" says The Hollywood Reporter.

The story takes a less romanticized look at human-vampire interactions, an anti-"Twilight" which looks at the sinister side of getting close to something dark.

The creatures play diabolical mind games with people, including one that involves an elevator.

Mark Gordon and Josh McLaughlin will produce.

I say more like Near Dark then Lost Boys. For some reason Lost Boys didn't age well over time for me.

I think you all are overreacting to the Twilight comment.

Seeing how Twilight has become the "premiere" vampire movie (atleast for teenagers and lonely middle aged women), since it is the most easily accesible vampire flick in recent years (30 days of night, anyone?), people for a while now will think of twilight when hearing about new vampire flicks.

So, saying this movie is "anti-twilight" is just merely saying, this is not a movie for you teenagers and lonely women".

What happened to the supernatrual Vampire movies like Fright Night, Lost Boys, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Vampire In Brooklyn where the Vampires were able to Shapeshift into Wolves and Bats, morph to be more demonic looking, and levitate? It seems like after Vampire In Brooklyn Hollywood started trying to make Vampires more down to earth. The 30 Days Of Night Vampires weren't supernatrual like that but they were something new.

I don't have a problem with Vampires being protrayed more down to Earth but After the mid 90's every Vampire movie up to this point was made to seem more realistic.

Everything is better than Twilight. I'm even willing to believe that n-sploitation flick Vampiyaz is better than Twilight.

(Though I've never seen Twilight and have no desire to see it whatsoever. Same goes for Vampiyaz.)
