While Universal fails to get an Oldboy remake off the ground (thank God), Warner Bros has picked up English-language remake rights to CJ Entertainment’s South Korean hit Sympathy For Mr Vengeance, the first film in Park Chan-wook's "Vengance Trilogy". Brian Tucker has been set to write the screenplay about two men who set out to avenge the deaths of their beloved women, only to discover that each killed the other’s lover and in the end only one can have his vengeance. Mandate Pictures still holds remake rights for Park’s Oldboy, the second film in the trilogy.

I haven't seen this film, but I can tell its a bad idea. Asian horror sure thing, but stuff like this prolly won't translate well into the English speaking version.

I'm sure it won't go anywhere.

Again, I think it's sooooooo 2003 to remake foreign movies.
