Watchmen featured on MTV's SPOILERS 2/21 at 8PM

We were pretty close then! I was sitting to the right of the screen next to the aisle. We were sitting behind a guy who was wearing a fedora hat so we couldnt see very well.

what were you wearing? i was wearing blue shirt with yellow trim next to the asian you described.

is anyone watching MTV right now?
this show looks stupid

I was wearing a black leather jacket with a black flowered dress and my hair is exactly like Laurie's! Hahaha. I didnt copy her though.

So, to the guys who saw the movie at the Spoilers thing, can you say what was taken out, what dissappointed, etc?

Hollis' death scene was removed but it will be in the Director's cut.
In the end when Laurie and Dan make love and Manhattan sees them and then he walks on the walls is also taken out.
How Rorschach made his mask is also taken out.
Rorschach's and Dr. Long's conversation is also cut short.
That's all I can remember right now.
I was a bit dissapointed with the ending. It just didnt seem right I guess. And it seemed a bit rushed. Im okay with it now but at the time it was dissapointing.

i hope someone uploads it, i cant get to a tv right now

Ok. Much obliged. Overall, though, as a fan, did you like it?

Also, now that Hollis' death is removed is it still mentioned and does Nite Owl still beat the **** outta the knot-top at the bar?

As a fan, I did like it. Very much. I mean, there were scenes that were taken straight from the GN and it had me grinning ear to ear.

Unfortunately, Hollis' death is never mentioned and Nite Owl does not beat the crap outta the knot-top at the bar. The bar scene is still in, however, but it's mostly Rorschach's scene.

Awesome.

Thankfully, Hollis' death is still in the director's cut, so now I'll have another reason to get it.

nah, they just showed the prison fight

Oh yeah. Pardon my ignorance, but what'll be the difference between the two?

The Director's cut will have Hollis' death scene in it with a few other scenes and that clocks in at 3 hours and 10-15 minutes.
While the "Ultimate" edition will have Tales of the Black Freighter and that clocks in at 3 hours and 30 minutes I believe.

Seems I'll be double dipping. Thanks for the info.:woot:

:hehe:

So how did the audience respond to the film? Last question, I swear.:woot:

Ask as many questions as you need to. :yay:
Hmm, let's see. Considering most of the audience was there due to casting calls they had a pretty good response to the film. They were asked multiple times to raise their hands if they have never heard of Watchmen(A LOT of raised hands) and then they were asked to raise their hands if they became fans after the movie(Even MORE raised hands.) So, that's a good sign right?
The film was given a standing ovation. :woot:

So, now that the BF is gone, does that mean Kovacs won't be seen at the newsstand?
