In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer. Adam “Bug” Heller was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest… until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.

It was a good trailer up until that damn song.

You're Going Down is a good song, but yeah, bad choice for a HORROR MOVIE TRAILER, Craven! But that's the least of this trailer's problems. It looks like he's trying to rip off Nightmare on Elm Street, HIS OWN MOVIE! This is why the guy should retire: he's ridden his one-trick pony into the ground and he doesn't know when the **** to get off the damn thing.

...my bet's on Bug being the killer...has to kill himself to save the others...

...Craven losing lustre?

I'll tell you what's happened to Wes Craven's career: It's passed on! This man AND HIS CAREER are no more! It has ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet it's maker! It's a stiff! Bereft of life, It rests in peace! If he hadn't gone and made **** like Cursed, Red Eye and Scream 3 AND the upcoming Scream 4, he'd be pushing up daisies! His career's metabolic processes are now history! It's off the twig! It's kicked the bucket, it's shuffled off it's mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-DIRECTOR AND HIS EX-CAREER!!

Looks pretty fun. Better then the last ****** horror flicks to come out recently.

Yep. Red Eye rocked. Craven's the only one of the legends who still has it in my opinion. I don't see how this is particularly ripping Freddy at all when just one scene seemed to be a Nightmare.

Agreed, Red Eye was terrific.

But Craven has definitely lost some of his edge when it comes to most of his new projects. He should have been in charge of the new Freddy reboot.

Also EVERYTHING about Scream 4 looks to be rocking like hell. Cursed and Scream 3 were tampered with by the Weinstien Brothers, so those can't be blamed on Craven at all.

Fair enough. Wait, how were they tampered with? I thought they just flat out sucked!

Well, when the director wants one movie, and the studio wants another, they force him to make new decisions, and shoot things that werent in the script...or tone it down, basicly ruin the whole movie to make money.

It's happend so many times.

Cursed had a practically different leading cast when it first started filming, it was a hard R rated Screamesque take on the werewolf movie. Neve Campbell even had a cameo in line.

The studio HATED what they saw of the original footage and fired a majority of Craven's actors, rewrote portions of the script, and decided the film should be PG-13 instead.

Scream 3 was to be a return for the trio that started it all Craven, Campbell, and Williamson. Williamson was heading into the a new season of Dawson's Creek when the studio wanted to get the ball rolling on the film. Despite telling them he had enough time to devote to the film and had completed more than 90 pages of his Scream 3 script, they couldn't wait. They wanted to strike the iron while it was hot, so they got the surviving cast under contract and Craven and only once that was locked did they tell Craven, Williamson would not be returning and that they were replacing him with Ehren Krueger.

couldnt find the original thread...

I just saw it...
this is not only the worst movie ive seen this year but maybe in YEARS!
It's not even laughably bad like streetfighter: the legend of chung li or vampires suck... its just freakin awful!

Wes Craven should NEVER be allowed to write his own films ever again.

The movie was all over the place in the most random ways and made no freaking sense! I cannot think of one shred of a good quality in this movie, EVERYTHING was horrible.

worst of all i hate my theater for pussying out and not playing I spit On Your Grave... which forced me to watch this abomination of a movie.

god have mercy on Scream 4:csad:
