Now since the Summer is almost at the end with only two semi big movies left (D9 and Inglorious Basterds), we must turn our eyes to the Fall and the Holiday Movie Season. There are some good ones coming up from some of my favorite directors. Im most excited for Where the Wild Things Are and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Whats catches your eye and what are you guys most looking forward to?

forgot to add Lovely Bones to the poll, woops.

avatar.. though ive seen absolutely nothing to deserve the anticipation

Surrogates. The book was great and you can't go wrong with Bruce.

I know sweet eff all about Avatar. So I can't in good conciense vote for it.

You have the wrong Nine on the poll.

My most anticipated movies of the year are Nine, The Lovely Bones, Avatar, & Where the Wild Things are.

It's weird that this year we've got 9, Nine and District 9 all coming out.

You know...

We also had a movie called Antichrist...

Flip a "9" over and what do you get...

:D

Wow, there are actually some great choices there.

Zombieland and Sherlock Holmes both look like an absolute blast. Surrogates is pretty interesting, and Where The Wild Things just looks beautiful. Not totally excited about Avatar (considering we've seen next to nothing of it), but, you know... It's Cameron.

So, yeah, I'm a pretty undecisive SOB.

Avatar for sure, although i'm really looking forward to Parnassus and Sherlock aswell :woot:

Yeah, I think everyone of those films looks pretty damn good.

I'll skip my vote on Avatar since that would be obvious, I pick Shutter Island. Can't remember the last time I watched a film like that.

Shutter Island and Sherlock Holmes.

Agreed Figs, everybody is waiting for Avatar. Can't wait for that, but I can't wait to see my first Scorsese film in theaters.

Sadly I think it will also be my first Scorsese film in the theatres. Most of his greats either came out before I was born or when I was too young to see them in the theatre. After that I had a bad streak of missing his recent films like Aviator, The Departed and even Shine a Light(big Stones fan).

I'm going to go with Where the Wild Things Are, and The Road, thats going to be one hell of a weekend.

i think this Fall/Winter film season will really save this year from being a total crapfest.

Avatar & Shutter Island for me. The rest are pretty meh to me.

Same here pretty much. The Departed came out three years ago and no way was I gonna see it at 14. I wanted to badly though at the time.

-Shutter Island
-A Serious Man
-Avatar

Like some, Shutter Island will also be the first Scorsese film I see in theaters.

I can't say I honestly have interest in any of these films. Only ones I can think of are 2012 and Saw VI.

Well.

There really is no accounting for taste I guess.

Wow. I don't have a right to judge people's tastes but wow. I hope you like dramas and smaller films too.
