Much as in the comics it seems that the Odinson is going to be MIA for the crack up of the Avengers team. How do you think he would respond to his human allies going at it tooth and nail, possibly with casualties? Can he truly understand both sides in this confrontation? As someone that was recently banished for brash actions to Earth, would he side with Tony? Would he consider Steve's actions honorable and understandable given the primacy of loyalty in Thor's psyche? Would he bow out as appointed protector of Midgard?

In any case, when Thor meets his comrades again he won't be returning to the avuncular best buds he left at the end of AGE OF ULTRON. Discuss.

"I leave Midgard for 5 minutes and this **** happens?!"

But more seriously, I suggested that he come to Earth for help during Thor: Ragnarok, and then Nick Fury informs him that the Avengers are no more.

It's really hard to judge Thors position this far. For me it really depends on the consequences of CW and its impact on the MCU moving forward.

I think Thor wouldn't side with anyone. He pretty much has diplomatic immunity. I think he'd probably sit it out. It'll be interesting to see his stance when him and Hulk show up in IW.

"You people are still petty and tiny."

"Thor, I have some bad news. Since you've been gone, Iron Man and Captain America have gone to war against each other."

"Oh, you mean like Batman and Superman?"

"Yeah, like ... what? Who?"

"Sorry. Heimdall found another dimension last year, and I've been watching things unfold there instead."

"Right, okay. Anyway, it all started when General Ross ..."

"I didn't mean to spend all my time watching the other dimension. It's just that, I don't know, everything just seemed more important over there. It's hard to explain."

"That's fine Thor. As I was saying, we need you to find Tony and ..."

"You know, they've even got a guy over there who's just as smart and rich as Tony. He doesn't have as many powers, but he just seems cooler, you know?"

"Okay, okay, buddy, we need you to focus. Earth's forces are divided, and with the armies of Thanos approaching, we need you to ..."

"Oh, oh, and the best thing is, there's this woman there, who's got real powers, and is considered like one of their top three heroes. She doesn't need 'plot armor' or anything, she's seriously legit."

"Um, can we speak to your brother?"

"And their best hero, apparently they can call him up any time they want. The don't need to borrow him from some Japanese media company."

"You do realize you're almost a public domain character, right?"

This.

Thor already was pretty angry at how poorly Earth treats its champions so I think he would be disappointed at the Earth Govts and Tony

He also seems to be closest with Steve out of all the Avengers. I think if anything, he'd be on his side.

This is my thinking. Thor and Steve seemed to have that "Band Of Brothers" thing going on. I think of that moment where Thor helped Cap up during the New York battle and Cap made that "getting sleepy" quip. Thor knows that Cap and he have vastly different levels of power but Cap was still in the thick of it by Thor's side. Thor probably admires Cap above most all the other Avengers.

What is known is that even on Asgard, chicken and pineapple are not real pizza toppings.

This. One guy is a soldier and the other is a warrior. Or as John Campea from AMC Movietalk saw them as "kindred souls."

John Campea: ...Captain America and Thor as kindred souls and how that dynamic works between the two of them when you guys are on screen?

Hemsworth: Lovers? Kindred souls? Kindred spirits?

Evans: You read the press notes! Yeah, I mean there's certainly...

Hemsworth: They're BFFs.

Evans: We wear necklaces with a little broken heart. And when you put them together, it's a whole one!

:hehe:

Seriously, though. If you look at Thor: TDW. Chris is willing to disregard the will of Odin to do what must be done and protect the nine realms. I'm sure Thor would do the same if he were here on Earth. The laws or man are beneath him, but being an Avenger never was. He turned down the thrown just so he could be with Jane and take orders from Captain America.

I leave for a few months and this is what happens? You humans are so petty and tiny. You know what, forget it, I'm putting myself in charge.

Thor: "My fellow companions you shall not believe the horrors me and Banner encountered. We fought an undead army, i amr-wrestled with Hercules and Banner defeated Volstagg the Voluminous into an ale contest. Shall we get together unravel our adventures while we were apart? Where is the valiant Captain?"

Tony: "In Arlington. Thor, we should talk"

Thor: Greetings my friends! I brought you all---

Bruce: Guys?! We're backl youre not gonna believe this---

*Avengers Facility is empty*

POST IT NOTE: Dear Thor, we went to Steve's funeral. He had an...accident. More later. Please leave the heat on. There's Ramen noodles and Yoo Hoos in the Avengers pantry.

-All the best,
The Avengers (aka Tony)

P.S. We dont know where Bruce is. Have you seen him? Laters Goldilocks.

I don't know, depends on who gets the most blame for CW. Thor or Stark. Matter of a fact, Thor and Banner should be the rational ones. While the Avengers are all still iffy to assemble against Thanos. Thor should point out that there is a greater threat at hand than their little squabble.

It's rumored that Sam Jackson will be in Ragnarok. If that's true, then maybe Thor comes to Earth and has that same conversation with Fury.
