What does the prospect of 'The Graysons' mean for 'Smallville'?

Of course, but Nolan wasn't celebrating either with the show idea. Warner has a hard time deciding what to do with Superman, but Nolan dominates the Batman franchise and if he's not happy with something, WB will please him.

They should just do tv shows about franchises which aren't Superman or Batman dominated any way.

yea if dawn o wasnt in charge of cw we probably would have had aquaman show, probably a ga solo show, or maybe a slime chance of smallville's jl.

True.

Still, CW shouldn't be limiting its DC adaptions just to Smallville.

It needs to experiment and think of out of the box.

yea i know i would love to see aquaman show, green arrow show, ww, flash,etc......

but the problem there as long as stupid dawn O is in charge of the CW and running it into the ground we will never see it happen probably.

Also i was thinking since we now know its canned maybe the thread should be closed. But its up to a mod if they want to close it or not.

WB only using adaptions on CW is limiting.

They don't need CW for this. They can put them on other channels (FX, Sci-Fi, HBO, Showtime etc) and even co-produce it with others, similar to Battlestar Galactica.

CW aren't innovators, their copies who only go after a specific audience and prefer the lowest common denominator over smart, risky projects.

That hurts them a lot.

yea maybe they will look into it once smallville is over and if CW does go under. To produce a new hero show and have it on fx/spike/scifi/g4tv would be prime spots for cable networks, i would leave showtime/hbo for the more mature characters like preacher, or darker themed heroes.

They shouldn't just wait for CW to die, though.

Definitely divide the properties to their appropriate channels like Preacher or The Demon to HBO, Flash to Sci-Fi, The Outsiders to NBC, Checkmate to FX etc.

They do need to diversify IMO.

Birds of Prey, Smallville and The Graysons, if it did get made, didn't do this. They are all in one place and to similar to each other.

It means that the CW really have their heads up their rears. I really would have loved to hear them throwin ideas around for another Superhero show, and one guy goes "Yea, I know...let's do a Robin show...only before Robin...because we all know how interesting his young circuis life must have been!" :whatever:

LOL. Aww, that's mean. You could of put it more gently :oldrazz:

I wouldn't really like a show based on Robin. What I would like is a show based on the Green Arrow, if they could make it last a couple seasons. I think Justin Hartley is a very good actor. Speaking of him, does anyone think he'd make a good Captain America for the upcoming film in a couple years? Just a thought.

he is a pretty good actor, but i believe marvel is looking for a bigger named actor for the role.

Warner Bros. need to just stop pussyfooting around and build a JLA series around Green Arrow, J'onn J'onzz, Black Canary, and Aquaman. Introduce a few others for good measure. Maybe just one or two (GL? Wonder Woman?). Maybe give a few guest appearances to Cyborg and Impulse to show us that they are creating the Titans or Young Justice. And then, of course, a few guest appearances by Clark.

Yea i totally agree but with the crazy dawn O in charge at CW we will never see that happen, and who knows when/if we will ever see another live action dc based show.

Well i was thinking since we do know that CW is not going with the silly grayson's show any more we should close this thread out, so we are not wasting space on a invalid thread now.
