The Avengers
The Dark Knight
Spider-Man
The Incredible Hulk

Honarble mentions
The Amazing Spiderman I really like it but the original has some sentimental value.
Captain America FA
Iron Man
Scott Pilgrim Vs The world.

1) Superman The Movie (The template for all great superhero movies)
2) Blade (highly underrated, one of the best intros in movie history, set off the current golden age of superhero movies)
3) Batman 89 (one of the most iconic superhero movies with classic imagery, dialogue and music, created a template for BTAS)
4) Amazing Spider-man (blew away my expectations, most emotionally involving superhero movie since Superman 78 and perfectly sets the stage for The Death of Gwen Stacy)
5) The Avengers (a light yet effective character study with action scenes staged just like a classic comic book, funnest CBM in a long time, gets points for gaining a new found respect from Hollywood for imaginative comic book movies and giving the greenlight to countless Marvel Universe films)

1. The Avengers - The pinnacle of everything Marvel wanted to achieve with it's solo movies and the greatest achievement this genre has seen.
2. The Amazing Spider-Man - Easily the best romance in a comic film perfectly complimented by the best portrayal of the webslinger yet.
3. The Dark Knight - Best acted. Best villain. Best Plot.
4. X-Men: First Class - Michael. Fassbender.
5. Iron Man - The most compelling leading man in the genre. The one instance where the (non)secret identity is just as interesting as the hero he becomes.

The Avengers
On top of being an awesome, extremely fun action movie, the characters are all portrayed very well and the way they come together feels natural and not at all convoluted.

Iron Man
A great adaptation of the character and an all-around great character arc. RDJ was the perfect casting choice too.

Superman: The Movie
Visually, it's a technological breakthrough that still holds up. For the story and characters, Donner completely nailed the core of Superman, and his decision to cast an unknown in order to put the audience in the mindset is a model for future filmmakers (unless there's a famous actor who's just an irresistible choice like Downey).

Spider-Man 2
Marvel editor Steven Wacker said the best Spider-Man stories are the ones that are fun and take Spidey to emotional depths. This is one of those stories.

X-Men: First Class
The story of Xavier and Magneto is one of the best in the Marvel movies and I loved the 1960s spy feel of the film.

Sin City
Beyond the coolness of making such a direct screen translation, Sin City shows a really interesting take on the noir genre.

American Splendor
I love the narrative style of having the real Harvey Pekar and Paul Giamatti playing the younger Pekar. It really strengthens his development.

Road to Perdition
Not particularly original, but very well made in all ways, from suspense to acting to the beautiful visuals.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
Edgar Wright had a great handle on how to change the comics to work better on screen while still maintaining the spirit and hilarity of the source material.

After seeing Dredd in september 3 times in theaters, it's a new favorite.

Nolan's Batman-trilogy
Spider-Man 2
X-Men 2 and First Class
Kick-Ass

Avengers
The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight Rises
The Incredible Hulk
Captain America

Yeah, I loved The Incredibles and desperately need a sequel!

Nolan's Batman trilogy is very high.

But I also have to include Tarentino's (producer) My Name is Modesty, and also the 1954 Prince Valiant based on the Harold Foster comic strip. Both are great fun to watch!
