Lately, everytime I sign onto Facebook there is someone posting a photo of them planking. Why has this become a trend lately?

I ask myself the same thing . A couple of friends posted a pic of them planking in facebook, but i just dont get what the big deal is, or why they display them so proudly. Why is planking so amazing? Someone please explain it to me

At first, I thought it was kinda funny, but a month ago it seems a few people blew it out of proportion and now everyone seems to plank now. Most of the ones I see now are so boring and stupid. One day, I saw a girl planking on a park bench with her whole body covering the bench. LAME.

Personally, I like when people plank on things that really challenges their bodies to balance on the thing they're planking on. Honestly, it just gives me a quick laugh but other than that, it's pretty dumb.

Oh I would never want to see someone try to plank on a skyscraper or anything that drastic. That's one of the instances where I say that planking is downright stupid and dangerous. However, seeing people just lay face first in the ground and call it planking isn't exactly planking in my opinion. If that was planking, then I could say that I plank in my bed every night.
