Included are all the Superman characters that can possibly qualify for Kryptonian or Krypoton-centric Villains.

Singer has stated that he is interested in Kryptonian Villains for Superman Reutrns. This is understandable, from a thematic and storytelling standpoint, and there are certainly no lack of Kryptonian villains in Superman comic books. However, because it is thematically easier to connect Kryptonian villains to Clark, you run the risk of redoing too much Smallville... I don't think we want Meteor freaks like Conduit running around, either.

So who would be the best Kryptonian villain for SR2?

They SHOULD use Braniac and expand on his powers making him even more god like.

But Singer, if attached to the sequel, will use Zod and anyone who says diferently is just fooling themselves and Im tired of it. I don't care what the writers said, it was a smoke screen.

Brainiac and the Eradicator with a hint of Doomsday or Darkseid coming for the next movie.

Brainiac, Singer would be a total hack if he just used Zod or some Zod clone like Jax-Ur or something. Doomsday is just a plot device and Conduit isn't epic enough.

Brainiac and Doomsday are probably the best possibilities.

Since Superman has gone to Krypton, it opens a plot line for something having been awakened and following him back home.

I can't wait to hear the excuses people make up for Singer when he uses General Zod lol.

Id rather Braniac and then Doomsday for the 3rd

The biggest mistake Singer could make with the sequel now is to use Zod and have the film full of Superman II references and homages.

i would like both eradicator and braniac and have it so eradicator fools supes into becomeing allies with him but really he is with braniac and they both helped destroy krypton. also make braniac like galactus, a god

Would WB even let him use Zod? Surely they've learnt from SR?

If Singer can't bring in a fresh, new villain and a strong, action-packed story then he might just be shown the door.

I get a feeling Singer senses that. He was adamant that the sequel, if he gets to direct it, will be All-Action.

I just can't imagine him going into that boardroom and telling the suits that his villain is Zod. At worst it's Zod and a new villain.

It better not be Zod. We need to see a new villain never before seen on the silver screen. Brainiac or Darkseid would be perfect.

Actually, a 'Frankenstein"-like Bizarro would be good. No backwards "S", no "Me am Superman". In fact, no talking from him at all. Just a "darkened" Superman costume, with the normal Bizarro appearance.

Why only one Villain? Anyways, the reason Zod seems likely is that he is the most recognizable and it expands on the whole "El-family theme" in SR. And bringing in Zod brings in the whole betrayal theme and the "damn you son of Jor-El!" (thus reconnecting SR2 with SR's "father-son theme").
Doomsday ruled by Zod perhaps? Either way, a Zodless SR2 would make no sense.

Although, I am willing to give them leeway on that - if they can pull it off - but it seems bloody unlikely that there would be no Zod if Kryptonians are used.

Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul were not "recognizable" and they were still good villains in Batman begins. We have already seen Zod on the big screen there is no reason to see him again, his story line is concluded, I want to see someone new as the villain in the next movie, like Brainiac.

You know, I've always thought of Batman Begins as a vehicle for Batman - the villains didn't really matter that much to me (except for Ra's since Neeson played that part) - it was good that they were around but it wouldn't have mattered what villain they threw at me in that movie. Besides, haven't they stated that they're throwing in The Joker in the sequel? He's surely been done before.
I guess my point, in a round-about way, is that I can go without Zod (though i don't see them leaving Zod alone) - but i SURE wouldn't mind seeing Zod again. Brainiac would be great, Doomsday would be awesome, but if i get Zod i won't exactly tear myself or drink up eisel.

But from your point of view - yes, definitely, i wouldn't mind keeping it fresh. Braniac? Bring it on!

I still love and want Zod but Brainiac would be awesome.
