If you're familiar with the show, then you know; Finn the human is a hero in the truest form, and Jake the dog is way cooler than anybody you've played fetch with.
I think they count as superheros

Just getting around to watching the current season. They're really pushing the whole 'kiddie' aspect of the show. I mentioned it to someone I know and they said it was just for kids and really stupid then I told them the backstory of the show and they admitted they might watch it due to how dark it gets sometimes.

Are you watching the first half of Season 5 or the second half? Because it is two full season, labeled season 5 and 5.2. 5.2 is very mature imo, and arguably the best the show has ever been. Which is saying something.

Yep, that is 5.2. Just can't see calling it kiddy, with episodes like The Vault and Lemonhope.
