A plane can not spiral upward, or ascend to 5000 feet, without it's nose.
It will always drop with the force of gravity.

... Well, aside from me being Ownyed, let's look at the facts instead of what you heard from Jones or Noory, or whoever. Planes use wings to create a lower pressure area under the wings and a higher pressure are above the wings. This creates lift. When a plane sustains damage, it can affect the aerodynamics of the body and/or the wings, this can affect the airflow inside the plane, which can and will affect mean respective weight, which in turn affects pressure which ultimately affects flightpath. In theory, this could result in an upward spiral.
