What's it like using a forum with a tablet?

Does anyone here use a tablet like an Ipad for trawling through the hype or other forums? What's it like? I want to get an Ipad but that's the last thing that's stopping me (not having a keyboard without a dorky add on).

    S'alright?

I don't think Hype is a part of Tapatalk yet (could be wrong), but many forums are, and that app is outstanding, costs a few bucks, but worth it. Makes board surfing a good bit easier.

On an ipad 4, pretty much the same experience, but the gif thread is a nightmare to wait to load. I want think it has to do with people posting too many gifs in one post, like it doesn't matter how many are on the page in total, but if one post has too many gifs, it slows down considerably. That's what happens on another forum, anyway.

Using an iPad on the Hype when I'm out and about. It works fine, I don't use the mobile version.

Like others have said, it works fine. Outside of speed, my iPad isn't much different than my Mac when it comes to this forum.

It's not tough at all to type, but I definitely find it harder to copy and paste quotes, and insert pictures.

I use an iPad 4. But I usually use my laptop if I need to write something long and extensive.

Also, trying to read blacked out spoilers on an ipad (any tablet?) is irritating because you have to copy and paste the text into another place, whether it be the search bar or notetaking app, to see what it says.

Really wish they'd get rid of that function and just go back to the click to read spoiler button.

Yeah, that's an issue too. You have to quote posts to read blacked out spoilers.

And I'm with Erz. I wouldn't recommend typing long posts.

It works fine but I have to copy and paste the posts that are blacked-out.

And for the love of god, do not use Chrone with the hype when writing posts. Chrone tends to reset tabs so when you go to another tab for more than 10 seconds while posting something it gets rid of it.

    You mean Chrome?

Something must be wrong on your end or in your settings, because I've never had that problem with the site using Chrome.

I've used my wife's Nexus 7 and my daughter's iPad. I prefer the Nexus. Mainly due to it running SwiftKey. I hate the iPad keyboard.

It's not a website thing. It usually resets with any site while I post something if I go to another tab for for 10-20 seconds.

I use an ipad4. The forum works great. I browse in chrome. The only problem I've been having lately is usually chrome offers to save my username/passwords for sites. But it never does with this site in particular. So any time I return here after having turned off my ipad I need to re-enter my information.

Eh, the desktop version's not that bad. Sometimes I use when Firefox bugs out on me, but the I think tablet version of Chrome is slowly getting better though. Last year I thought it was crap but it crashes less on me.

    Safari is just too barebones.
