New series from Image and I must say The artwork has me hooked and then I read issue 1......Original and fantastic,I freaking love it....

Yeah, the first issue was quite good, and I look forward to the second. The writer actually popped in here a time or two to promote the piece. Between this, Infinite Vacation and the upcoming Green Wake, Image has really been bringing some intriguing titles to the table as of late.

Nate Edmondson says the book will no longer be a miniseries.

Readers will be wondering Who Is Jake Ellis? longer than previously thought.


Writer Nathan Edmondson's Image Comics spy book was originally pegged as a five-issue miniseries. Yet the comic has proven so popular that Jake Ellis is now a monthly ongoing for at least 10 or 15 issues, according to Edmondson.

"I have always had a more grand story in mind, and I'm thrilled that the sales of the series is allowing Tonci and I to tell the full tale," Edmondson. "Nothing will change as we pull into issue 5, but we will immediately move to the next part of the story, which is in fact woven into the first arc as early as issue 1.


"The rest of the story does need to be told, and with the characters already established, we can really bring the big guns to the fight now."
