the first person who popped into my mind was Steve Carell as George Jetson.

Robert Rodriguez was the last guy attached, but WB said they may just do a CG animated one now since they got WAG going.

One thing ALWAYS has baffled me about The Jetsons, why does the mother look younger than the daughter ?

She's supposed to be 32 according to an early episode.

A Hanna-Barbera staple was the duo...yogi and boo-boo...fred and barney...quickdraw mcgraw and baba looey

George Jetson didn't have a buddy...he had mr spacely but they weren't friends.

Alan Tudyk - George
Alyson Hannigan- Jane
Elle Fanning- Judy
Cooper J. Friedman- Elroy

Astro, I guess. But that's a stretch.

To this day, I'm still surprised they never made a live action Jetsons in the mid '90s to capitalize on the financial success of the Flintstones movie.

I always wanted Danny DeVito as Spacely

DeVito is made for Spacely.

I feel Will farel or Steve carrel are too obvious of a choice but at the same time wouldn't be horrible in the role.

Part of me likes the idea of Will Forte as George but it might be too much of a departure from the toon.

Jeffrey Tambor as Cogswell Cogs

It's weird with the casting because I've had ideas dating back to the 90's but it sorta depends on the era now.

Jim Carrey would've been good back in the 90's. Actually, Jason Sudekis would be a good George now.

Spacey..come on..Danny De Vito, though he's getting up there in age. And if it were the late 80's, maybe Bob Hoskins.

I could see Chris Parnell as George Jetson although honestly I think they would get Will Ferrell to do it.

Katey Segal would be amazing as Jane, his wife.

His boy Elroy could be played by anyone and daughter Judy could be played by no one better than Sarah Hyland I reckon.

As for Rosie the robot, can they please get living treasure Megan Mullaly.

Mos Def would make a good Mr Spacely

I'm dissapointed this thread died so quickly. Barely anyone discussed Rosie the robot

I'm kind of disappointed that Scooby Doo is the only Hanna-Barbera to really stand the test of time. I mean, Seth MacFarlane was going to do a new Flintstones show a few years back, but nothing materialized. I hope the comics that DC are doing can grease the wheels a bit across all media. Make a goddamn Jonny Quest movie already, for the love of God...
