Marvel, this guy is one of your most solid writers! This guy has written stuff that makes him their go-to-guy in the clutch but they haven't given him a regular title yet! I mean who would've though Apocalypse vs. Dracula would've been such a quality read? Plus when he was on Excalibur he wrote stories that were ten times cooler than anything Claremont was doin with the title. This past year alone he made Blink and Chamber descendants of Apocalypse, created the Clan Akkaba, repowered Chamber with some Apocalypse voodoo, repowered Juggernaut and redefined the whole Gem of Cytorak dealio, and made the Black Knight cool again. I say Tieri should be the new writer on Astonishing after Whedon peaces out. Who's with me?

Oh god... please no...

I guess I don't have an informed opinion on this topic, as I haven't read any of Frank's recent stuff... but I've been avoiding him ever since the whole Wolverine "Gods of Canada" storyline. Brrrrr. Just the sound of it gives me the chills, and not in a good way.

His work is good but not spectacular. Kinda average really.

Um... Tieri's writing World War Hulk: Gamma Corps right now.

And I'll be reading that.

Tieri and Slott aretodays top writers and I'll read anything Either of them write....The only reason I bought Apocalypse vs Dracula was Tieri and I'm glad I did.

The guys work on Weapon X was solid, his Underworld Mini was Phenomenal, and Gamma Corps is going to be the best part of World War Hulk....well tat might be a stretch, but Tieri can do no wrong in my eyes.

I wish he had stayed on New Excalibur permanently. He made it readable. I dindt care for the Juggernaut arc but I liked the others

I'm trying to remember what of his I read, but I don't remember really caring for much of it.

I tend to stay away from Tieri. He pretty much ruined Deadpool after Priest left, what I read of Weapon X wasn't very good, and his New Excalibur arc somehow managed to be boring even though it had TWO Black Knights in it. Gamma Corps looked like crap to me starting right from the concept, so it's one of the few WWH tie-ins I'll be skipping.

Poccy vs Drac was pretty good, but the rest he has written is, as I've said, pretty average.

I loved Terri's Weapon X title. It's the only title I ever wrote in about asking for them not to cancel it. They managed to give him a mini to wrap things up and he 100% let me down on it. Since then I've just kinda been meh on his stuff. I was bored to death with the Camelot story in New Excalibur, indifferant on the Juggernaut story, and loved the Chamber story. I haven't read the Apoc/Drac story. I will eventually. My opinion, Terri is a good writer, but there are better.

Really? I loved the Weapon X Days of Fuer Present Mini (Or whatever it was called), it was a great way to sow the true origin of Sublime.

What I like about Tieri's work is tht he can take other people's forgotten crap and make it cool.....Morrison gave us Phantomex....and he was Crap....Tieri picked him up (When everyone else was clearly going to ignore him) and made him...well He's still crap, but better than he was with Morrison....same thing with Sublime.....Morrison Created Sublime and he was actually the one cool thing about New X-men, But then Tieri picked him up and turned him into a really great villain.

And the Weapon X WWII Issues (Sinister's List) was awesome....Tieri works very well within existing continuity (like Slott) He emreaces it instead of ignoring it and making up new stories....he digs into the continuity of the characters and spins great new stories out of that....that is the way most writers should be after 40 plus years of marvel continuity.

And Underworld was simply awesome.

Well, he does use continuity well enough while a lot of other writers shy away from it and try to reinvent the wheel. But I still just haven't really been excited by anything he's written. He's a competent writer but not a great one, based on what I've read.

Not my cup of tea at all.

Totally far from "one of Marvel's best writers".

The last thing I've heard from Tieri is that he wanted to try and make Batroc the Leaper a badass. I would definately read that because it sounds like a fun/cool read.

What is that Gamma-corps about?

I think Tieri would be a great writer on Exiles.

Yeah, stick him on books no one cares about.
