Ubisoft’s Japan-developed GT Pro Series - which may or may not be a Wii launch title, depending on where you get your information from - will come with an attachment of some sort that will make it a ‘must-have’. We’re guessing a clip-on steering wheel. Developed by the people behind the GT Advance series, the game will include over 80 licensed vehicles.

Thanks to PasstheWiimote for the heads up.
Now let the speculation begin!

Vroom Vroom...

I want to see a mock-up of this. I do think its a good idea, though, if done right.

excite truck looks cool, but this has the potential to be even cooler.

i want to see the wheel NOW!

thats extremely lame. especially when you have wiimote to pose as steering wheel.

You missed the point, its not a replacement for the Wiimote its an extension.

No! hero is right it is lame. If you have a sterring wheel attachment whats the point of having the wiimote. They already have driving games with steering wheel attachments. The wiimote is supposed to bring a new experiance. why use and attachment when you can hold the wiimote like a steering wheel?

Because the Wiimote is still there. You are still using it. You are still tilting it. Its a CAR RACING game. People like to hold a STEERING WHEEL.

Its not that hard to figure out :o

This was the mock-up IGN did when the Wiimote was announced.

I understand that some people might want to hold the wheel, but what I'm saying is why make an attachment to stick the wiimote in, why don't those people just by one of those steering wheel accesories thats been around for years It'll give them the same experiance, maybe even better because you'll have negative resistance while turning the wheel. As far as the mock up above. I'd rather just have a sterring wheel attachment that I can sit on my lap to keep my arms from being extended and tired. Can you imagine using that mock up steering wheel for hours at a time with your arms out in free space with no force feedback. Its pointless in my opinion but to each his own.
Now give that gun attachment for Farcry and I'll be happy

It never did say what it would be. Just really having to do with marketing. But its good to see there are attachments coming soon and not a year or so later.

I pasted the Wiimote in to see how it'd look.

The cell shaded graphics look ok... The last cell shaded racing game didnt work out all that great though.

That's cool. Depending on the price, I may buy it. It'll make driving games feel more natural.

still looks lame. and how would it feel more natural? theres no gas or break pedal. you'll still be suing the wiimote for that. natural my arse.

Note the word: MORE. It will feel MORE natural by using a streeing wheel. It won't be a complete natural experience because of no pedals, but since when have the pedals with those steering wheel accessories been good?

Cel-Shading is always fun for games, but from the screenshot it looks like they could clean the graphics up a little. Also, the wheel looks pretty cool, but I wonder how it will feel if there is no base? Oh, who the hell cares, if it's free, I'll live with it!

Thrustmaster has obvious porn overtones.

Yeah, but at least their wheels work pretty good. Too bad it didn't come with porn. :cmad:
