How come I can't find my hard drive?
Here's the thing. I have a 1tb My book. A 60gb Seagate Freeagent and a rinky dinky 500mb usb drive. I plug in my my book and seagate into the usb ports on my labtop. I have an HP Pavilion dv 6000. I hear the little sound telling me I plugged into my labtop. I see the "remove software safely" icon. I go to my device manage and I see that the device is working properly. But I can't find it! The autoplay doesnt pop up. I go into my computer and there is nothing there. Just my hard drive, my back up drive and my dvd drive.
Yet when I plug in my thumb nail drive that rinky dinky thing pops up immediatley! What the hell? On my Imac everything works fine and mounts fine. I got this labtop for xmas and I have not updated or installed any discs. Do I really need to go through all that crap?
