Seems fairly simple if you have the right tools
The Bearings dimensions are:
45mm X 58mm X 7mMS
Should be about 17 Dollars

I get this feeling from watching some of the more impressive inventions on "Myth Busters" as well.

He lathes out the spindel so that a ballbearing ring can be slid over it.Supposedly the idea is the wheel will now have more weight and turning has a better feel.
It would be very easy if you actually had a lathe....
I Have a dremmel..,,,Should I give it a shot?
