Worst Performances By Good Actors

I've always liked Christian Slater but the last time I liked him was in Very Bad things (1998) Since then it's been mostly really bad . He was ok on the tv show he just did but Alone in The Dark has to be the worst movie i've ever seen and only watched it because he was in it. He was good in Bobby actually but i think he deserves better than this.

Judd Nelson in every role he's had since about 1995, but in particular, Boondock Saints II. You could also put Flannery, Reedus and Benz down for that lame attempt at a sequel, while you're at it.

Leonardo DiCaprio in The Beach

Giovanni Ribisi in Avatar and Gone in 60 Seconds

Cary Elwes in Liar, Liar

Jaoquin Phoenix - The Village

Forrest Whitaker in Four Dogs Playing Poker.

Man, did that movie suck.

Thora Birch and Jeremy Irons in Dungeons & Dragons. Yikes.

Oooooohh good one. They are both solid actors but were terrible in that movie. Granted, the movie was sh** overall, but their performances only enhanced the suckitude.

Judi Dench in The Chronicles of Riddick

Bryce Dallas Howard in Eclipse (okay, I didn't see it, but I have it on pretty good authority that the usually great Bryce is awful in this movie)

Steve Zahn - A Perfect Getaway

Bryce Dallas Howard in Eclipse

Anthony Hopkins and Mickey Rourke in Desperate Hours

Elijah Wood in Green Street Hooligans and Ash Wednesday

Ralph Fiennes in Clash of the Titans

John Turturro in Transformers (I actually didn't mind him in this role, but he's capable of being SO much better)

Colin Farrell in Alexander

Julia Stiles in Save the Last Dance

Chris Evans in Cellular

Bruce Willis in Death Becomes Her

Meryl Streep in Mamma Mia

Wharlbeg in the Happenign? Happening is a bad movie. but did you watch Wahlbergs movies from the 90's?

some of them but couldn't even get through his performance in the happening

Tommy Lee Jones - Batman Forever

Angelina Jolie - Alexander

Edward Norton - The Illusionist

Daniel Day Lewis - Nine

haha, I forgot about Wahlberg in Planet of the Rapes. He was really awful in that. Not as bad as he was in The Happening, but pretty damned close. He looked like a dude who sharted and had to spend the entire movie in his soiled drawers.

Samuel L. Jackson in The Spirit. (It's like he forgot HOW or something!)

Nic Cage in like, HALF the movies he's ever been in.

Nic Cage boggles the mind sometimes by how good and how bad of an actor he can be, which is always proportional to how good the movie he's in is.

After seeing Cage in The Bad Lieutenant and Kick-Ass (back to back on the same day) I wonder if he should only appear in movies by either Werner Herzog or Matthew Vaughn. Because those two movies feature his best performances in YEARS.

Uma Thurman in Batman & Robin. I've never seen such overacting in my life.

Wow. no one has mentioned Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze and Batman & Robin!?

Arnold isn't a "good" actor so he doesn't apply in this thread. I have most of his films and he's fun to watch but he's in no way a good actor.

Yeah, I would agree. Arnold has... moments where he comes across as a real actor, but for the most part, he's really not very good.
