Not sure if anyone else knows the comic but here's a little blurb.

It's a comic written by Juan Diaz Canales and Juanjo Guarnido and is set in a film noir environment, in the USA of the late 1950s except instead of people they use animals that signify their personalities (for example: A white supremist would be a polar bear).

I'ld love to see an animated movie based on it. Here's my cast!

John Blacksad- George Clooney
Weekly- Dev Patel
Smirnov- Christoph Waltz (it's time he was suggested for a role that isn't a villian)
Alma Mayer- Keeley Hawes

I've flipped through it, and yes, I would be all for it.

Weren't the creators story board artists for Disney years ago?

For something like, it would be hard to get off the ground.

HELL, even THE GOON as a CGI film backed BY DAVID FINCHER is having a hard time getting a greenlight, and that's considered to be an indie darling of sorts. :(

I wouldn't mind, but only if it's made in Spain/France/Belgium.

Absolutely!! Bring it!! This would be a project that I think would be suitable for director Andrew Stanton(Wall-E, John Carter).

I think they're already working on it.

i just read this entire series and i love it and think it would be amazing as a noir cartoon or even a CGI film!
