Wow... After longer time with game.. All-Pro 2K8 is more fun than Madden!

At first I sort of dismissed the game as you don't have the "official" jerseys. However I checked online and got uniform codes to fix the teams look... Now all these great legends like Warren Moon, John Elway, Joe Montana, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, etc... Are on a specific game where they actually have skill sets specific to them and in some cases player specific move "Walter Payton scissor kick"



Not only that, the longer you play the more fun you notice the gameplay is. It is very challenging and typically you can have your big plays but also NFL like long drives.

Iv always preferred Madden over the 2K games up until Madden hit the 360. Im a big franchise fan and i havent gone through a complete franchise since '05. I tried All Pro 2K8 but i just need those NFL teams, but 2K8 DEFF has some great moments in it. I would have loved to see 2K get a crack at a next gen NFL game.

I felt that way at first and didn't play it much. All the sudden I found out about how you can redesign uniforms and started playing the game again. In all honesty it is the most fun I've had with a football game since being like 7 years old playing super tecmo bowl

yea i still think it sucks. ea was back on its game with madden 08 (360)because that one was great. all pro 2k8 lacked alot, and im not actually talking about the players im talking about modes and features. people ripped madden 06 and 07 on 360 for the same thing and 2k went out and did it to. ok madden 06 had a excuse because it was being rebulit for the 360 and they rushed it out, but no challenges? c'mon that was just lazy. 07 had no excuse for less modes since they had longer time to make it. it was better, but still had annoying glitches and still not as many modes as hoped. madden 08 had better graphics, alot of modes, and alot of the annoying glitches were gone. and it was just more fun to play. also there wasnt that big of a jump in gameplay from 2k5 to 2k8. nothing next gen about it. it took ea a try or two, but madden 08 looks and feels very next gen. i was very dissapointed in all pro 2k8, especially since i loved every 2K football game since the dreamcast days.

I'm not a big fan of sports or sport games, but I have always enjoyed 2K's offerings more than EA's.

You know, I really thought that at first. I totally ignored the game after buying it. However it is definitely true that once you build a team (such as the oilers i.e. W Moon, E Givins, E Campbell, Y Thigpen) and start getting into the gameplay deeper all the sudden it's like you are playing a different game. I love the laser passing, play "stealing" (if you time it just right and the QB has the ability you can see what kind of coverage the defense has), and again I'm surprised how good it really is... Especially since I literally didn't touch the game after first impressions. Crazy.
