Virtual reality took over from real life this week as the fantastic virtual world Second Life teamed up with Fox to host a virtual premiere party for Cannes.
Due to the success of the Premiere party, the hosts are keeping the event open all week, and there will be another party on Thursday 25th May for the release of the film in the UK.
Second Life is a fantastic virtual online community where you can create your alter ego, build your own home, chat with people from all over the world and even dance the night away in virtual clubs.
If you arent already a member then visit www.secondlife.com in order to get membership and to download the gateway into Second Life.
Once downloaded and opened you will have a tutorial on how to operate Second Life and then shown how to customize your avatar.
To get yourself to the X-Men party Island click Find and type in Avalon. Click on Avalon www.spacethinkdream.com and you will be teleported directly to the Island.
Once there you can explore, watch the footage, walk down the red carpet and enter Cerebro for the largest screen in Second Life!
