X-Men Origins

I know that the reason they put in Origins is because it's an origin story but is it possible that it could also mean that there are more origins to come? Possibly delving into the origins of other X-Men? Would that be a good idea or would it be overkill?

they just use X-men origins because using "x-men" is a way of getting more audience.

Of course they'll do 2 or 3 spin-offs, but I doubt they do more than than that.

Yea I really doubt we'll get a Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gambit, Cyclops, Iceman, Beast, Psylocke, Emma Frost, Prof. X, etc. etc. etc. origin movies.

XMO: Magneto
XMO: Wolverine II (Jackman and others want to do Japan stuff)
XMO: First Class (hoping this is an origin story for Scott, Jean, Storm, Beast, maybe others... Banshee? Sunfire, perhaps?)
XMO: Deadpool
XMO: New Mutants (the next generation)

And maybe, somewhere, X4 and beyond.

I dont know... I'm a little iffy about the Gambit being in Wolverine thing. The actor seems to be a good fit, but I'm not so sure about the timeline. I'll have to wait to see how it all turns out.

I think X-MO: DEADPOOL would be more bankable than any of them due to the role in the Wolverine movie and mainly because of Ryan Reynolds.

I think the X-Men Origins spin-offs will include Wolverine, Magneto, and/or First Class. I also think Deadpool may receive a spin-off. Beyond that, I think Fox will reboot the X-Men franchise in some way, shape, or form.

Gambit is far fro bankable. Who outside of the "nerd" community knows who he is? Sure he has a role in this film but we do not know how that will play out. If they made a low low budget film it might break even.

I think the characters from the films that would be able to bring in the money are Wolverine, Storm and Magneto. Now, due to their rich origins, Cyclops, Xavier and Mystique/Nightcrawler (sharing an origin) could potentially make for some entertaining, successful films.

Are you kidding? Everyone knows who Gambit is.

I'm a loner nerd among my friends, but when I was telling some of them about the Wolverine movie and showed them the picture with Deadpool, Gambit, Wolverine, Sabes, and Silver Fox, they kinda looked at it blankly until I named them. Every single one of them was like, "Oh! Gambit!"

Me: "You know who he is?"

Them: "Are you kidding? He was my absolute favorite!"

Maybe this is just from the 90's X-Men cartoon crowd, but these aren't nerds. If I walked in on one of them watching a current X-cartoon or reading a comic, I'd probably have a heart attack out of shock.

Gambit's popular enough. The issue would be finding a solid plot and villain that people would be interested in.
