Seems like he is one of the writers interviewed by screenwriting guru Syd Field on a new project, which was due last month but is still in production: Screenplay Series with Syd Field.

It will be interesting to see if Kinberg mentions X-Men....

Simon Kinberg is also one of the writers of the Jumper movie, due next February. Adapted from Steven Gould's novel, it's a bit like Heroes meets X-Men (especially Nightcrawler!). It's about teleporters (called Jumpers) who are the result of a genetic anomaly and are hunted down by a sect called the Paladins who see them as a threat. The screenplay is co-written by David Goyer and Jim Uhis.

The total silence in this thread speaks volumes of the enthusiasm on here for Mr Kinberg!

Well, honestly with the way how people are sick of X3 and everything about it, I'm sure he's sick of talking about it too.
Not defending him or anything, but he's probly past the whole X3 thing; He got his paycheck.

I feel enthusiasm towards Mr. Kinberg. After seeing X3 I'm enthusiastic about not seeing films he is involved with.

Jumper, a movie by Simon Kinberg, David Goyer and Hayden Christensen.

Some would say it's crap. :oldrazz:

Nah, I like Hayden. Goyer can do good when someone does some tooling with his script. And Simon... well he's crap.

Oh, and the director's last movie was Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Ouch. (Though I've heard his other movies were quite good. Haven't seen any of 'em.)

I saw them filming this near my office last summer. I actually thought it was the Spiderman 3 set since they'd been there earlier in the week, so I was all excited. It turned out to be this movie. Not quite as exciting. :oldrazz:

The problem with 'Jumper' is - apart from it sound like a movie about a sweater or pullover - that teleporters are so yesterday. We have Hiro in Heroes, we've had Nightcrawler (and before him we've had Vanisher, Astra and others), we've had Star Trek beaming themselves all over the place.

Why would the same genetic quirk arise all over the planet and create teleporters? Why would an entire sect want to kill them all? Why is this interesting? No doubt the effects will be good (though they sound like Nightcrawler), but there must be other ideas out there.
