Xbox Xbox Series X|S Thread

One of the futures of Xbox is an emulator that lets you run Xbox games on Microsoft Windows PCs.

Microsoft is working hard to integrate Xbox and Windows game development more closely into the future. Windows Central understands that traditional Win32 will be the preferred development environment for the next mainline Xbox consoles, with Xbox One/Series X|S "ERA" environment gradually phased out. Where that leaves our existing library of Xbox ERA games remains to be seen, but it seems emulation is one avenue Microsoft is exploring for backward compatibility and game preservation.

I suppose they could also do recompilation like the fan recent port of Sonic Unleashed from Xbox360 to PC. But that requires a specific case-by-case, title-by-title, one-at-a-time approach.

Jesus christ Microsoft. A good chance to make up some headway with Nintendo, and you pull this ****? I get it, you didn't move your **** to Vietnam. And honestly, I would be pissed if I was in a non US territory who got hit with price increases. And couldn't even wait till next gen for an excuse in price increases for games. Absolutely bonkers.

I'll just continue to do what I've been doing the past years: giving my money to indie/AA devs, focusing on my backlog, and waiting for deep discounts on AAA games.

With 4tb, you can fit quite a few games on there. Or maybe two bloated AAA games.

Let's announce a worse steam deck the week of Switch 2 release. Brilliant

Really rooting for Ninja Gaiden and Platinum

Mikey in Tony Hawk is cool.

Doomguy is going to pull off some sweet tricks.
