I want a new Fable and Killer Instinct confirmed, and otherwise a few new big IPs. I don’t need tonnes of games, just that anything new that gets announced is very ambitious and aiming for the top.so, expectations time. What are some of the things you WANT to see tomorrow?
For me, I want to see:
Fable
At least 1 new 1st party IP
At least 1 new 3rd party exclusive
For 1st party stuff, I guess I'd be most excited for Obsidian's AAA RPG. I'd also be most interested in an exclusive fighting game, be it 1st party or 3rd party exclusive. Killer Instinct 2 of course would fit that bill.
As for a mic drop moment, MS announcing the WB studios acquisition would certainly get my attention.
that crossed my mind, too.
I know certain broadcasters are doing their own preshow and then aftershow to discuss whatever’s announced. I’m more interested in the aftershows. There's going to be a pre-show right? Might tune in early for that
I wish it worked like that. The main show should be focused on big-hitters.yes, there is a pre-show and they've said there will be world premieres on that, I think. So, I'll be tuning into that as well.
hopefully most of the smaller, indie, AA titles will be covered in the pre-show. save the main show for the big stuff!
I forgot Seagate is the SSD manufacturer for the XSX.
I agree. Usually these events will hit that "mid-period" lull where it seems like an endless wave of smaller, indie titles being shown. And those games may be fine, but that can really drag the excitement down. Especially when they don't really showcase the power of a brand-new console.I wish it worked like that. The main show should be focused on big-hitters.
A high-performance 1TB Gen3 SSD NVMe from WD costs about $150. So we can expect more than that since it's Gen4.The only question is......how much are those expansion cards going to cost?
If you think an SSD NVMe will cost as much as a 5400RPM HDD, you're in for a rude awakening.Probably still the same prices as the current external hard drives. My 2TB Seagate hard drive was $50
You can also pick and choose what is installed at any given moment. Not my preference but many people manage storage well that way. I will get super-fast internet by then so getting things on an off the storage shouldn't be too painful at least. That technical speak went over my head. No clue what is what. I guess I'll have to choose my games wisely so not to need a card or another external drive
yeah, that's what I was afraid of. plus, proprietary stuff usually costs more. So, I wouldn't be surprised if a 1TB expansion costs around $200.A high-performance 1TB Gen3 SSD NVMe from WD costs about $150. So we can expect more than that since it's Gen4.
A quick search on Amazon yields $199 for some brands.

I'm going to watch the Summer Game Fest stream on youtube.
